Swan Lake drowns

Besides the fact that 2 hours was cut, Swan Lake didn't impress. None of the dancers emoted which made understanding the chopped narrative even more difficult. The prima ballerina did an okay job but her hips and shoulders were tight. There were a few dancers that seemed like they had just picked up dance shoes for the first time. To top off the awkward performance, there were numerous technical difficulties with the sound and lighting. I was shocked when the ballet was given a happy ending. When the final curtain went down, I audibly asked, "What just happened?" The Odessa company, just overall, was a dissappointment. The 4 little swans were good... and fun.
